Carl P. Ross Jr., 83; Clarksville

— Funeral services for Carl P. Ross Jr., 83, Clarksville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1, at E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. He died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Kentuckiana Medical Center.

He served in the Korean War in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a bus driver for Greater Clark School Corporation, he was a farmer and he was a Clarksville Safety Officer. He was a member of the Lions Club and American Legion, Charlestown, and was a native of Jeffersonville.

He is survived by his son, Michael G. Ross, Clarksville; daughter, Carla A. Stallard  and her husband, Scott, Clarksville; sister, Betsy E. Corcoran, Charlestown; grandchildren, Hannah Stallard, Peyton Ross and McKenzie Ross; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Flora F. Ross, father, Carl P. Ross Sr., and mother, Florine E. Ross.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
