Funeral services for Dedra Gibson, 58, of Clarksville, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, at Scott Funeral Home’s North Chapel, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Norton Hospital.
She was born in Jeffersonville, owned and operated Gibson’s Clip and Snip Beauty Salon, and was a member of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved and cared for everyone around her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Chris Gibson; a son, Dan Gibson and his wife Leslie, of Clarksville; a daughter, Christy Hogue and her husband Richard, of Clarksville; a brother, Lonnie Robertson Jr. and his wife Janice, of Jeffersonville; two sisters, Ellen Caudill and her husband Bill, of Memphis, and Charlotte Vissing and her husband Terry, of Marysville; two grandsons, Dakotah Gibson and Josh Washington, both of Clarksville: a granddaughter, Jairica Kannapel, of Clarksville; two dear friends, Marcy Craven and Pat Fischer, both of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Lonnie Robertson Sr.; and a grandson, T.J. Kannapel.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
