Funeral services for Franklin Eugene “Gene” Bryan, 86, of New Albany, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes with interment in Memorial Gardens West, Louisville. He died Thursday, July 4, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He was a native of Gainesboro, Tenn., and a retired air conditioning/refrigeration technician for Brown and Williamson Corporation. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and the Masonic Order.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Campbell) Bryan; two daughters, Marsha C. Antolik and her husband Joseph, of Wisconsin, and Deborah J. Smith and her husband Dale, of West Point, Ky.; one brother, Samuel E. Bryan, of Derwood, Md.; five grandchildren, Megan J. Twomey and her husband, Christopher, of New York; Caroline E. Harrell and her husband Joshua, of Indiana, and Troy Doyle, Heather Meyer and Joseph Antolik; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin E. Bryan; and a grandson, Michael Doyle.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
