63; Jeffersonville

— Funeral services for Ivan Lee Dinger Sr., 63, Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, at Scott Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at Clark Memorial Hospital.  

Ivan was born Sept. 5, 1950, in Louisville, to the late Charlie and Rosie Dinger. He previously worked as a mechanic for Ritter’s Auto, and part-time at Kmart in New Albany. He was a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church in Jeffersonville, a graduate of New Albany High School, was currently attending Ivy Tech College for business management, and was an avid University of Louisville fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Rosa Dinger; six children, Kenneth R. Sears and his wife Lisa, Saundra Dishman, Ivan L. Dinger Jr., and his wife Jennifer, Elizabeth L. Poole and her husband, Benjamin, Rebecca L. Nalley, and Ivan L. Dinger III; three siblings, Curtis Dinger, Molly Masterson and Rosetta Wells; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
