Robert Woods Blythe Jr.

92; of Noblesville

A memorial service for Robert Woods Blythe Jr., 92, of Noblesville, will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 25, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, Noblesville. He died Friday, March 16, 2012, at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville.

He was born March 7, 1920, to Robert and Julia Clark Blythe in Lexington, Ky. He was an accountant for National Homes. He proudly served his country as a captain in the U.S. Air Force, was a graduate of New Albany High School, and a 1952 honors graduate of Indiana University. He was a member of Congress Street Methodist Church in Lafayette, the Lafayette Country Club, Beta Gamma Sigma, and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Blythe; daughter, Diana Blythe Ephlin and her husband, Philip, of Noblesville; grandchildren, Tracy Anderson Mogol and her husband, Matt, of Sag Harbor, N.Y., Joshua Richardson and his wife, Danielle, of Cupertino, Calif., and Kyley Hooper and her husband, Case, of Champaign, Ill.; and five great-grandsons.

He was a beloved husband, father, Pop-pa and great-Pop-pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana University School of Medicine.
