Funeral Mass for Marian Rose Miller Carroll, 94, New Albany, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014.
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, New Albany, from 1953 until 1964. She was a member of St. Julian's Catholic Church, Middlesboro, Ky., from 1964 until 1979, and returned to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, New Albany, in 1979.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tommy Joe and his wife, Robyn, Carroll, Kathy and her husband, Richard, Adams, and Bruce Carroll (Virenee Chatmon); son-in-law, William Ianke; nine grandchildren, Mark, David, Paul, Rick, Aaron, Amy, Sam, Max and Sally; and seven great-grandchildren, Carli, Megan, Paula, Jay Thomas, Noel, Paul Anthony, and McKenna.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Carroll, her daughter, Bonnie Jean Carroll Ianke, three brothers and two sisters, Jim, Louise, Tom, Junie, and Jackie, and her parents, Kitty Clyde and Robert L. Miller.
Marian's joys included family gatherings, music (especially bluegrass), square dancing, reading, and card games.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany.
