Funeral services celebrating the life of Martha I. Cox, 95, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Oak Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Wednesday June 12, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.
She was born Feb. 13, 1918, at home near Floyds Knobs. She worked several years at Scott Seed Company as a seed analyst and secretary. She retired as a cost accountant at the American Printing House for the Blind of Louisville after 34 years. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Church of Christ and was a member of the church Women’s Circle.
Survivors include her son, David C. Cox; nieces, Charlotte Moser Payton and Elizabeth Taylor Beach; nephew, George “Tim” Taylor Jr.; and many cousins, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1993; her parents, Cordelia and Edward Moser; her brothers, Richard and Stanley Moser; and her sister, Ruth Moser Loeser.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
