Lowell O. Smith

82; Palmyra

— Funeral services for Lowell O. Smith, 82, Palmyra, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Love Funeral Home, Palmyra. He died Sunday, April 13, 2014.

He was a former basketball official working numerous games and tournaments, including boys' and girls' state finals and NCAA College Finals. He was inducted to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame on March 21, 2001. He was also on numerous boards and committees for farming as well as the Harrison County Hospital Board of Trustees for 15 years.

 He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Gloria A. Pezzullo Smith; children, Steven Smith and his wife, Margaret, Ronal Smith and his wife, Lola, Tami Duvall, and Joi Martin; grandchildren, Matthew Smith and his wife, Amanda, Michael Smith, Candy Smith, Sean Smith and his wife, Amy, Sunnye Wilson and her husband, Joshua, Jannson Engleman and her husband, Marnie, Katelyn Turner and her husband, Joshua, Allison Engleman, Rebecca Martin and Kyle Martin; and great-grandchildren, Gracie, Gabbie, Addison, Avery, Carter, Maria, Charlie, Anarosa, Sebastian, and Lily.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
