Pearl Catherine Trebing, 86; Corydon

— A memorial service for Pearl Catherine Trebing, 86, Corydon, will be Saturday, May 31, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Corydon, with burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, New Albany. She died Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Kindred Transitional Care-Corydon.

She was born in New Albany on April 30, 1927, the daughter of Edwin and Geneva McNutt Hammett. She was retired as head cashier for the A&P Store and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Corydon.

She is survived by Nick Trebing and his wife, Sally, Beech Grove; two brothers, David Hammett and his wife, Carole, Jeffersonville, and Larry Hammett and his wife, Doris, Louisville; a sister, Sue Summers, Clarksville; sisters-in-law, Glada Hammett, Great Falls, Montana, and Faye Hammett, Sellersburg; brother-In-law, Rick Stewart, Corydon; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two children, Nancy Stewart and Mike Trebing,

and four brothers Ed, Mark, Patrick and George Hammett.

The family suggests memorial gifts be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Corydon.
