Leoda “MeMe Lee” Fenwick Freiberger

100; New Albany

A funeral liturgy for Leoda “MeMe Lee” Fenwick Freiberger will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New Albany, with burial in St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery. She died Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the Robert Lee Healthcare. 

Leoda was born Nov. 2, 1913, in Floyds Knobs to the late Albert and Lula (Martin) Fenwick. She was a longtime sales associate at the fashion shop for many years until her retirement. Leoda was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New Albany. She will be missed and fondly remembered as “MeMe Lee” by her loving family and all who knew her throughout her long life. 

Survivors include her daughter JoAnn Wallace and her husband Grady; four grandchildren, Michelle, Dawn, Janine and Mark; six great-grandchildren, Danielle, Adam, Christine, Amanda, Cody and Kyle; and six great-great-grandchildren,     Logan, Ryan, Reese, Skylar, Alora and Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Evan Fenwick and sister Emma Roberts.
