Stanley E. Moser

96; of Floyds Knobs

— Funeral services celebrating the life for Stanley E. Moser, 96, of Floyds Knobs, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, New Albany, with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.

He was a native of Floyds Knobs and served as an electrician in the United States Navy during World War II. He was the maintenance and electrical supervisor for the New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corp. for 32 years and retired in 1978. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1693, a member of the Indiana Farm Bureau, a member of the Travelers Protective Association serving as past chairman for the State Community Service, and past chairman of Local Post Q. He joined St. Marks United Church of Christ in 1942 and served three terms as a trustee.

Survivors include his sister, Martha Cox; several nieces and nephews; and several longtime caregivers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, M. Audrey Moser; his parents, Edward and Cordelia Moser; his brother, Richard Moser; and a sister, Ruth Loeser.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday before the service.
