Mamie L. Russell-Cousin, 70; of Clarksville

Funeral services for Mamie L. Russell-Cousin, 70, of Clarksville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany. She died, departing her Earthly life on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013. 

She was born March 8, 1942, in New Albany, to the late Ruthalean Russell-Mosley. She confessed her life to Christ at Greater Life Temple. She was a 1959 graduate of New Albany High School. It was there that she met her high school sweetheart and future husband, John E. Cousin. She went on to work many years at New Albany Care Center and later retired from New Albany High School as an environmental technician.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her six loving children, Timothy Russell and his wife, Linda, John Cousin, Jarman Cousin-Davey, Tracy Cousin-Ballard, Diane Cousin-King, Michelle Cousin-Ramos and her husband, Juilian; brothers, Robert Mosley and his wife, Angelica, and Ronnie Mosley and his wife, Tina; sister, Felicia Bryant; eight grandchildren, Jeremy, William, Anton, Terrell, Ebony, Julius, Micha, and Zachary; and one great-grandson, Braelyn Lee.

Along with her mother, she is preceded in death by her sister, Betty J. Booker Starks.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
