— Funeral Mass for Mary Virginia Venne Hollkamp, 78, of Borden, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Clarksville, with burial in St. Joe Hill Catholic Cemetery, Sellersburg. She died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She retired from the Census Bureau, was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Clarksville, was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and will be remembered for her boundless love, strength, wisdom and generosity. She will be missed but her love will never die.
Surviving include her sons, Herbert J. Hollkamp and his wife, Nilda, of Zachary, La., Paul J. Hollkamp and his wife, Kathy, of Pittsburg, Calif., David J. Hollkamp and his wife, Jeanne, of Houston, Joseph J. Hollkamp and his wife, Cathy, of Fairborn, Ohio, and Nicholas J. Hollkamp and his wife, Patti, of Jeffersonville; daughters, Carol L. Boutelle and her husband, Max, of Lebanon, Ohio, Kathleen W. Bailey and her husband, Jim, of Clarksville, and Marjorie J. Nelson and her husband, Robert, of Clarksville; brother, Charles Venne, of Hampton, Va.; a sister, Martha Ederer, of Madison, Wis.; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert J. Hollkamp; parents, Joseph Ernest and Amelia Venne and a brother, Theodore “Sonny” Venne.
Visitation will from noon to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Franciscan Shelter House in Louisville or St. Anthony Catholic Church.
