93; of Greenville

— Funeral services for Virginia L. Perkins, 93, of  Greenville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013.

 She was born in Harrison County, on Dec. 27, 1919.  She retired from her career as an operator for Indiana Bell after 24 years, was a member of Southeast Christian Church Indiana Campus, and a former member of Main Street United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Norman Howerton Perkins Jr. and wife, June, of    New Albany, Janice Perkins Pearcy and husband, Carl, of Greenville, John Wade Perkins and wife, Cathy,    of New Albany, Diane Perkins Ginkins and her husband, Larry, of     Floyds Knobs, and Robin Dale Perkins, of New Albany; grandchildren, Darren and Troy Perkins, Richard Dunlap, Tahnee Miller, Angela Shaughnessy, Julie Shultz, Heather Burke, Cassie Lodwick, and Jessica and Cortney Perkins; and 11 great-grandchildren.

 She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Howerton Perkins Sr.

Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
