Phyllis Faye Phipps

71; of New Albany

— Funeral services for Phyllis Faye Phipps, 71, of New Albany, will be at noon Saturday, Feb. 2, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, followed by private interment. She died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at her home.

 She was the former Phyllis Witt, a native of Rockcastle County, Ky. She was a homemaker and was a volunteer foster grandmother.

   Survivors include a son, Robert Dale Phipps, of Campbellsburg; daughters,  Robyne Phipps, of New Albany, Melissa White, of New Albany, and Carrie Y. Phipps, of Huntingburg; brother, Lawrence Witt, of Floyds Knobs; sister, Janice Hansbarger, of Batesville, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by a son, Pete Phipps, grandsons, John Thomas Phipps and Jason Robert Phipps, father, John Witt, and mother, Minerva Y. White.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, at the funeral home.
