Harold Joseph Weber

90; of Clarksville

— Funeral liturgy celebrating the life of Harold Joseph Weber, 90, of Clarksville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Jeffersonville, with burial with full military honors at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, New Albany. He died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at his home.

 He was born March 6, 1922 in Jeffersonville, to the late Virgil and Anne Kuehn Weber. He was the widower of Ruby A. Slattery Weber who died in 1990. He was retired from the E.I. Dupont Co. in Louisville and after retirement worked at Ace Hardware in New Albany for some 20 years. He loved people, golf, fishing, and was a sports enthusiast. He never met a stranger and he will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.  He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater, a member of the Cardinal Ritter Council K. of  C. and St. Augustine Catholic Church in Jeffersonville.

Survivors include his sons, Joseph P. Weber and wife, Lisa, of   Clarksville, and Kevin V. Weber and wife, Judy, of Floyds Knobs; four grandchildren, Duffy, Mickey Daniel, and Cameron Weber; and two brothers-in-law, Charles “Mickey” and Marvin Slattery. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, infant son, Harold Joseph Weber Jr., brother, Wayne V. Weber, sisters-in-law, Nellie Roberts, June Harbison, and Margaret Stocksdale and a brother-in-law, Curtis Slattery.  Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and after 8 a.m. Thursday, at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m.  Wednesday, at the funeral home.
