A funeral Mass for Bernie G. Decamp, 82, of Clarksville, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 2, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Clarksville, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
He was born Nov. 6, 1930, to his late parents, George and Bessie Norfrey Decamp. He was a Clarksville native, a Navy veteran of the Korean War, a lifetime member of VFW Post 1382 and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He was an avid woodworker after retiring from Paramount Plywood and created countless custom treasures for his family.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Crist Decamp; children, Denis Hammond (Charles), Libby Himmelheber (Rick), Stephen Moneypenny (Yvette) and Dana Burgin (Ed); a sister, Dorothy Herman (Allen); seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the Charlestown Road Chapel of Kraft Funeral Services will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
