William ’Whitey’ H. Goodhue

72; of Sebring, Fla.

— William "Whitey” H. Goodhue, 72, of Sebring, Fla., died Thursday, May 9, 2013. He had been a resident of Sebring since 1970.

He was born June 27, 1940, to William and Nellie Coomer Goodhue. He spent many of his early years growing up in New Albany. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had retired as a truck driver from St. Regis Paper Company after 42 years.

He is survived by his wife, Lyndell Goodhue, of Sebring; children, Karen Goodhue (James Dowling), Becky Linehan and her husband, Joseph, and Michael Goodhue and his wife, Tonya, all of Florida; brothers, Tony Goodhue and Lyndon Barton, both of Indiana; sisters, Jean Webber, of Indiana, Elizabeth Hamm, of Texas and Vera Cooper, of Indiana; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Goodhue and Jackie Goodhue.
