David H. Hall, 80; of Sellersburg

A memorial service for David H. Hall, 80, of Sellersburg, will be at noon Saturday, July 20, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with private entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park Chapel of the Cross, New Albany. He died Wednesday July 17, 2013.

He was born July 10, 1933, in Glenville, W. Va. to the late J. Harold and Grace Wolfe Hall. He was proud a graduate of W.V.U. and was one of the earliest inductees into the Academy of Chemical Engineers. He worked in the chemical industry with B.F. Goodrich Chemical Co. for more than  33 years until his retirement as Group President. Through hard work and respect he earned his way up through the years to the position as one of the top executives in the company. He was a man who earned his way and was always respectful of his co-workers and fellow employees. He was a truly a people-oriented leader. He loved his wife of 61 years, family, golf, W.V.U. athletics, Cleveland Indians and Browns, Piano Music, New Cars and people.  His memberships included Covered Bridge Golf Club and Trinity United Methodist Church. He will be greatly missed by all who ever knew him. 

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Carolyn E. Lipscomb Hall; children, Jeffrey Hall, Steven Hall, and Susan Hall; daughter-In-law, Kim Hall; four grandchildren, Katlyn, D.J., Karyn and Lisa Hall; brother, John Hall and wife Susie; and sister, Emily Brewer.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a son, Garry Hall.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, at the funeral home.

 Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Trinity United Methodist Church or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
