Lucille E. Crawford, 88; of Clarksville


— Funeral services for Lucille E. Crawford, 88, of Clarksville, will be at noon on Friday, March 1, at the Charlestown Road Chapel of Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, also in New Albany. She died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.

She was born May 4, 1924, in Floyd County, to the late Frank and Pearl Mayfield. Lucille was a member of Depauw Memorial United Methodist Church and Easter Star #419. 

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Morris Crawford; children, Jack Crawford and his wife, Belinda, of Santa Clarita, Calif., Donna Hammonds, of Fayetteville, Ga., Gerald Crawford and his wife, Wandee, of Mae Sai, Thailand, and Sandra Perkins and her husband, Richard, of Gilbert, Ariz.; brothers, Lawrence Mayfield, of New Albany, and Paul Mayfield, of Mitchell; grandsons, Jason Crawford, Jeremy Crawford, Joshua Hammonds and Charlie Crawford.

She was preceded in death by her grandsons, Samuel Perkins and Justin Hammonds.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. 

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
