Helen L. Zollman Bagshaw, 89; of Henryville

Funeral services for Helen L. Zollman Bagshaw, 89, of Henryville, will be at 11 a.m., Friday, July 19, at Henryville United Methodist Church, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Henryville. She died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Westminster Health Care in Clarksville.

Born April 1, 1924, in Lexington, she was the daughter of Floyd and Beatrice Thompson Zollman. She was a 1942 Henryville High School graduate. She was a homemaker all of her life, enjoyed babysitting, and taking care of her mother and mother-in-law. On Sept. 9, 1944 she married Herbert L. Bagshaw. She was a member of Henryville United Methodist Church where she was the children’s Sunday School teacher and lead the Youth Group. She was a mother and grandmother to every child in the neighborhood. She was a hard community worker and was family, school, and church oriented. She was a former PTA president, and helped the school band sewing uniforms and flags. Embroidering, quilting, reading, sewing, working crossword puzzle books, and traveling is what she enjoyed in her spare time.  

Survivors include her husband, Herbert L. Bagshaw; two children, a son Michael L. Bagshaw and his wife, Candance, of Ashtabula, Ohio; a daughter, Virginia Sue Law and her husband, Kenneth, of Henryville; one grandchild, Joseph R. Law, of Henryville; and three siblings, Mary Vannoy, of New Albany, Inez Hardee, of Henryville, and Donald Zollman and his wife, Harriet, of Henryville.

Five brothers and one sister preceded her in death.     

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Adams Funeral Home & Crematory, Henryville and after 10 a.m. Friday at Henryville United Methodist Church.  

Memorial donations may be given to Mt. Zion Cemetery c/o Adams Funeral Home, 209 S. Ferguson Street, Henryville, Indiana 47126.
