Mary Margaret “Marge” Scott

89; of New Albany

— Funeral services for Mary Margaret “Marge” Scott, 89, of New Albany, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 6, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Oak Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Friday May 3, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.

 She was the former Mary Margaret Landers and was born in Cementville. She was a member of TOPS and was a very active member of Jacobs Chapel United Methodist Church having served on several committees and was involved with many of the church groups including the Jacobs Chapel Missionary Women.

Survivors include her son, James R. Scott and his wife, Connie; daughter, Peggy S. Canter; two sisters, Juanita Meyer and Melba Jean Jenney; five grandchildren, Lisa Lopp and her husband, Jeff, Kevin Canter and his wife, Heather, Jimmy Scott and his wife, Jennie, Chris Scott and his wife, Karen, and Cara Catlett and her husband, Chad; and seven great-grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Roy Scott and two brothers, William and Douglas Landers.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may take the form of contributions to Jacobs Chapel United Methodist Church.
