Eva L. (Bettman) Van Cader, 100; of New Albany

Funeral services for Eva L. (Bettman) Van Cader, 100, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann and Naville Funeral Homes. She died Friday, May 3, 2013, at Westminster Health Care Center in Clarksville.

She was born in New Albany and was a member of St. John’s Presbyterian Church in New Albany. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was the past president of the PTA at New Albany Hgh School. She was a former employee of the Holiday Gift Shop in New Albany and Graham Florist in Clarksville.

Survivors include her sons, William R. Van Cader Jr. and his wife, Jean, of New Albany, and Thomas C. Van Cader and his wife, Carol, of Jeffersonville; a daughter, Arlene J. Hargrave, of Floyds Knobs; six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Van Cader Sr., her parents, Edward F. and Carolotte (Phillips) Bettman, a great-grandchild and a great-great-grandchild. 

Visitation at he funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday. 

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. John’s Presbyterian Church.
