Wilburn H. Kahl

94; New Albany

— Funeral services for Wilburn H. Kahl, 94, New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, New Albany, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Thursday morning, Nov. 28, 2013, at Autumn Woods Health Campus, New Albany.

He was born in New Albany to the late Albert T. and Maudie (Wood) Kahl. He was a retired letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service and was an Army veteran having served in WW II. Kahl was a member of Culbertson Baptist Church in New Albany.

Survivors include his sisters, Doris Murphy, New Albany and Helen Grimes, Woodstock, Ga.; nieces, Phyllis, Darlene, Pam and Dena; nephew, Wayne; and several more nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma M. “May” (Stewart) Kahl.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m.  Sunday at the funeral home.
