Funeral services for Marshall Scott ‘Pete’ Craven, 82, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with entombment in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. He died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, retired from Naval Ordinance Station in Louisville, a member of Harrison Avenue Methodist Church in Clarksville and loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Elsie Craven; daughter, Pamela Alexander and her husband, Keith, of New Albany; grandchildren, Jennifer Whalen and her husband, Jason, and Trisha Collett; five great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Roxy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earning and Addie Craven, brothers, Morris, James and Lawrence Craven, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and after 9 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung or American Heart Association.
