Sol Russell Frazier, 91; Pekin

Funeral services for Sol Russell Frazier, 91, Pekin, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Pekin. He died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at Rolling Hills Healthcare in New Albany.

He was born Jan. 21, 1922, to Henry and Pearl (Boggs) Frazier in Letcher Co., Ky. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, a retired rigger for DuPont in Louisville, a member of the Blazing Star Masonic Lodge 226, the VFW Lodge in Jeffersonville, and a member of the Bunker Hill Christian Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Peggy (Mauk) Frazier; daughter, Sue Curd and husband Mike of Jeffersonville; brothers, Murl Frazier of Charlestown and Odell Frazier of New Johnsonville, Tenn.; sister, Bobbie Jean Hawkins of Charlestown; grandchildren, Joseph Magner and wife Leanna of Lanesville and Casey Curd of Jeffersonville; great-grandchildren Makenna, Madelyn and Maya Magner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Teresa McKillip, and his sisters, Dana Combs and Dixie Frazier.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, and after 9 a.m. Saturday.
