Carol A. Hardesty

77; New Albany

— Funeral services for Carol A. Hardesty, 77, New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in New Albany National Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at her home.

The daughter of the late Raymond W. and Esther Kettering Worley, she was born Sept. 30, 1936, in Lawrence, Kan. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked for Taylor Drug Store for 14 years before retiring in 1992.

Survivors include three sons, Kevin Mayer, Christopher Baxter, and Robert Hardesty Jr.; stepdaughter, Rona Hardesty; sisters, Bev Mater and her husband, Joe, Paula Hollen and her husband, Ken, and Sheri Rebeck and her husband, Jerry; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Hardesty Sr., and a son, Arthur.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Southern Indiana or the American Cancer Society.
