Melvin C. Delaney, 61; Corydon

— Funeral services for Melvin C. Delaney, 61, Corydon, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at Pfrimmers Chapel United Methodist Church, Corydon, with burial in the church cemetery. Pastor Tim Johnson will officiate.

He passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at his home. Melvin was born Dec. 2, 1951, in New Albany. He was an auditor for Humana, Inc., Louisville, a United Methodist Lay Speaker serving Laconia and Depauw United Methodist Churches and a member of Pfrimmers Chapel United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Engleman Delaney.

Surviving are his wife Kathy J. Rothrock Delaney; daughters, Melanie Abner (Steve) of Corydon, Kelly Delaney-Bottorff (Richard) of Georgetown; father, Elisha Delaney of Milltown; sisters, Susan Nieves (Jose) of Jeffersonville, Kaye Miller (Donnie) of Louisville; grandchildren, Madeline, Kellen and Isabel Abner, Aydan and Garin Bottorff

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Swarens Funeral Home, 1405 Hwy 64 NW, Ramsey, Ind. and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at Pfrimmers Chapel United Methodist Church, 500 N. Pfrimmers Chapel Road NE, Corydon.
