Funeral services for Irma K. Schulz, 90, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Home, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany.
She was a native of New Albany and was a retired employee of National City Bank of Kentucky. She was a member of State Street Baptist Church in New Albany and the American Baptist Women. She was the daughter of William Sr. and Mary Dooley Kelley. She and her husband of 57 years, Melvin E. Schulz, resided in Pompano Beach, Fla., for 26 years prior to his death in 2000. They were fortunate to have traveled extensively together to many parts of the world including the “Holy Land” and three visits to Hawaii celebrating on one occasion their 50th wedding anniversary along with their daughter and her husband who were celebrating their 25th anniversary.
She is survived by her son, Stephen L. Schulz and his wife, Joy, of Indianapolis; daughter, Beverly Sue Cates and her husband, Ronald, of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Schulz, Julie Bingham and her husband, Tim, and Ron Cates Jr. and his wife, Melissa; and three great-grandchildren, Briahna Cates, and Jackson and Alyssa Bingham.
She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, William Kelley Jr. and Joseph Kelley.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Autumn Woods for the care and support they provided for her and her family.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Home, Market Street Chapel, New Albany.
