Kent Rodman

90; of Lanesville

— Funeral services for Kent Rodman, 90, of Lanesville, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at  Newcomer Funeral Home in New Albany, with burial in St. Mary’s Navilleton Catholic Cemetery in Floyds Knobs. He died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012.

He was born Nov. 14, 1921, in Washington County, Ind., to the late Edwin and Mary Tash Rodman.

Survivors include his children, Eugene Lilly and his wife, Evelyn, Vincent Lilly and his wife, Leatha, and Rita Hunchman and her husband, James Sr., all of New Albany, Mary Alexander and her husband, Jerry, of Lander, Wyo., Karen Fisher Rodman and her husband, Doug, of Columbia, S.C., and Alan Rodman and his wife, Paula, of Stamping Ground, Ky.; 22 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; his girlfriend, Viola Montaque and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 47 years, Mary (Schmidt) Lilly Rodman.  

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
