Leora Jacobs Weilage, 96; of New Albany

A memorial service for Leora Jacobs Weilage, 96, of New Albany, will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home in Jeffersonville. She died Friday, March 8, 2013, at Rolling Hills Health Care Center.

She was a member of the Center for Lay Ministries and a member of Wall Street United Methodist Church and their quilting club. She was a secretary at Klarer Co. Leora loved to play bridge and her crossword puzzles. She was a native of Windgate.

Survivors include her daughter, Betty L. Young, of Jeffersonville; grandchildren, John Young, of Jeffersonville, David Young, of Cincinnati, Oh., Julie Peters, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Plez Allhands and her mother, Lena Allhands.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 5 p.m. until the time of the service Tuesday.

The family would like to thank the staff at Rolling Hills Health Care Center for their tender care in her final days.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Wall Street United Methodist Church.
