Funeral services for Ramona Ann Bagshaw, 75, Henryville, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at Henryville United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. She died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 10, 1938 in Henryville, she was the daughter of Jerome and Carmolita (Baxter) Dean. Ramona was a 1956 Henryville High School graduate and a graduate of the beauty school in New Albany. She owned her own beauty shop, “Ramona’s Beauty Shop” for 17 years. Ramona worked as the executive director of Clark County Zoning and Planning Commission for 32 years, retiring on June 14, 2013.
She was a member of Henryville United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, where she served as past matron, served on the Monroe Township Fire Board, Monroe Township Advisory Board, and the Jeffersonville Lions Club.
Survivors include, a daughter, Cindy (Terry) Comstock; daughter-in-law, Missy Bagshaw; three grandsons, Thomas Comstock, Jordan Ray, and Jackson Bagshaw.
She was preceded in death by a son, Brent Bagshaw (February 2010); and her brother Larry Dean.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Adams Funeral Home & Crematory, Henryville, and after 9 a.m. Monday at the church.
