Delbert Ray Vick

85; Sellersburg

— A funeral Mass for Delbert Ray Vick, 85, Sellersburg, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at  St. Joe Catholic Church, Sellersburg with burial to follow in the church cemetery. He died Friday, Sept. 27, at his home.

Delbert was born Aug. 29, 1928, to the late Omar and Gertrude Vick. He was a member of St. Joe Catholic Church, American Legion Post 204 in Sellersburg, Moose Lodge 1757, and Knights of Columbus Cardinal Ritter Council 1221. He was a 50-year member of the American Legion firing squad and color guard. He retired in 1984 from the Louisville Cement Company. Delbert enjoyed traveling the country with his wife and family in his motorhome, fishing and hunting. He will be missed by all those he touched in his journey of life.

Survivors Include his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Schindler Vick; sons, Delbert (Dee) Vick and his wife Marilyn, and Donald Vick and his wife Lisa; daughter, Sharon Vick Smitty; three brothers, Paul Vick and his wife Rita, Laurn Vick and his wife Marge and Kenny Vick and his wife Michelle; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg.
