Oma Philpot Turner, 92; Clarksville

— Funeral services for Oma Turner, 92, Clarksville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Legacy Funeral Center, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. She died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at her home.

She was born on Nov. 19, 1920 in Manchester, Ky., to the late William Bradley and Lillie House Philpot. She and her husband previously owned the Turner House Restaurants in Louisville. She was a member of Park Memorial United Methodist Church, Jeffersonville and the Southeast Greyhound Lines Retired Employees Association.   

    She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Turner, Clarksville; a son, Tom Turner and his wife, Pat, Clarksville; two grandsons, Brad Turner and his wife, Katie, Memphis, and Brian Turner and his wife, Michelle, Louisville; three great-grandchildren, Reese, Brady and Brooks Turner; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, T.C. Turner; two sisters, Ethel Smith, Lillie Mae Turner; and seven brothers, J.B., Bob, Gene, Pete, Bradley, Clarence and Tommy Philpot.

 Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and after 9 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
