Brandon Tevis, 15; Sellersburg

A Funeral Mass for Brandon Tevis, 15, Sellersburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Sellersburg, with burial to follow at Bowery Cemetery, Memphis. He died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013. 

Brandon was a student at Our Lady of Providence High School and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Sellersburg. He was born Dec. 30, 1997, in Jeffersonville. 

He was the most wonderful surprise to a family who loves him wholeheartedly. Brandon enjoyed spending time with his family and playing ball with neighborhood friends. A faithful Catholic, Brandon loved being a Providence Pioneer. With his strong Christian spirit, he taught us the importance of accepting people for who they are and treating everyone as a friend. 

He is survived by his parents, Roger and Debbie Tevis, Tera Tevis; sigblings, Brittany Geswein and her husband, Nick, Chelsea Wild and her husband, Derek, Alexus Tevis, and Cierra Nelson; cousins, Noah and Julian Geswein, Carter Wild; his great-grandfather, Bernard McCabe; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Nadine McCabe, Harlan and Virginia Tevis; and a cousin, Brent Keeton.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany.
