William ‘Bill’ Gross

82; Sellersburg

Funeral services for William “Bill” Gross, 82, Sellersburg, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with burial in Sellersburg Cemetery. He died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at Maple Manor Christian Home, Sellersburg.

He served his country in the U.S. Army, retired from Bremner Biscuit Company, Ralston Purina, and was a member of Sellersburg First Baptist Church. He was an ordained Deacon, and loved golfing and Bluegrass music. He was a loving family man and an avid outdoorsman.

Survivors include his wife, Twilene M. Gross; two sons, Douglas Gross and his wife, Carla, Scottsburg, and David M. Gross and his wife, Yvette, Seattle; a daughter, Beverly Dreyer and her husband, David, Nabb; a sister, Norase Sexton and her husband, Harvey, Marion, Va.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cannie Gross, a brother, Joe Gross, and two sisters, Francis Bullins, and Ruby Knott.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and after 9 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Southern Indiana or Maple Manor Christian Home, Sellersburg.
