A funeral Mass for Charles W. “Charlie” Edelen Sr., 75, Clarksville, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Clarksville, with burial in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Jeffersonville. He died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at his home.
He was a native of Bardstown, Ky., worked at Armour Elevators for 34 years and retired from Derby Industries. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus JFK Council 1348 and St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Edelen; sons, William A. Edelen Sr., Clarksville, and Thomas Edelen and his wife, Karla, Clarksville; grandchildren, Charles M. Edelen and his wife, Samantha, Chad T. Edelen (Rachel Fox), Jamie L. Hoskins and her husband, Joseph, and William A. Edelen Jr.; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Shelby Walker Hoskins, and Julian Thomas; daughter-in-law, Kerri L. Edelen, Clarksville; a brother, Len Edelen, Louisville; two sisters, Anna Gish, Louisville, and Eileen Springston and her husband, Richard, Louisville.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles W. Edelen Jr., and daughter, Pamela Edelen.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany.
