Irvin D. Brewer, 91; New Albany

— A memorial service for Irvin D. Brewer, 91, New Albany, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, New Albany, followed by private interment.  He died at Clark Memorial Hospital.

 He was a retired meat cutter for the Kroger Co., Louisville. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and New Albany Lions Club.

Survivors include a sister, JoAnn Phillips and her husband, Jack, New Albany; daughter, Carol A. Ortquist, Gobles, Mich.; three sons, Kyle M. Brewer and his wife, Andrea, Pekin, Neil H. Brewer and his wife, Vicki, Corydon, and Brian A. Brewer and his wife, Tamela, New Albany; six grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie A. Brewer, beloved companion, Terry Eaton, brothers, Jim and Lee Brewer, sister, Dot Day, father,  Leeman Brewer, mother, Lena Leffler, and son-in-law, James R. Ortquist.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, at the church.
