Gloria Higginbotham Booher Sullivan, 79; of Palmyra

Funeral services for Gloria Higginbotham Booher Sullivan, 79, of Palmyra, Indiana, formerly of Whetstone Community of Cumberland County, will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Friday May 10, 2013 at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany. 

She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and a KYANA Antique Car Club member. She was born in Cumberland County, Whetstone, on January 4, 1934, the daughter of James and Beulah Higginbotham. She was preceded in death by her son Ronald D. Booher; her parents; her brothers Norman, Conrad, Ward, and Beuelle; sisters, Ravanel Booher, Loweldine Grant, and Babette Higginbotham.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Mathew Walker; granddaughter Amanda Booher; and brother Don Higginbotham of Sarasota, Fla.; nieces and nephews Paulette Vogt, Brenda Conner, Annette Robinson, Rhonda Norris, Ward Kendall Higginbotham, Jr. and Cordis Darrell Grant.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. In lieu of flowers or plants, please make a memorial contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association.
