Rev. Robert Wayne Cox

42; of Lanesville

— Funeral services for Rev. Robert Wayne Cox, 42, of Lanesville, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 20, at Grace Lutheran Church in New Albany, with brial to follow in Ashland, Ky. He was called home by his Lord and Savior on May 15, 2013.

He was born Jan. 6, 1971, in Ashland. He was a minister of the Gospel for 20 years serving parishes in Kentucky and Florida.                                                                            He was a teacher for three years in Kentucky and Indiana. He was a former high school soccer coach, loved music and writing and was a member  of Grace Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lara Haug Lieber Cox; his parents, Jerry L. and Anna Jean Brown, of Ashland; and Charles Robert Cox, of Pottstown, Pa.; two daughters, Lesa and Kayla Cox, of Ashland; two step-sons, Anthony Lieber (Alisa Sutherland) of New Salisbury, and Gregory Lieber (Meredith McCabe), of Lanesville; two sisters, Lesley Church (Joshua). of Ashland, and Heather Powell, of Pottstown, Pa.; six nephews; and two nieces.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
