70; New Salisbury

— Funeral services for Carlos Randel Napier, 70,  New Salisbury, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, at Scott Funeral Homes North Chapel, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at home surrounded by family and pastor.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who loved serving others and volunteering at Country Lake Christian Retreat. He was an active member of the Church of Reconciliation in New Salisbury, and he took great pride in being able to serve his country as a United States Marine.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Janice Napier; three children, Beverly Kelsey and her husband, David, Theresa Dale and her husband, Kenneth, and Tim Napier and his wife, Janie; six siblings, Charlie Napier, Rex Phillips, Helena Redmon, Eddie Napier, Lynn Napier and Canton Napier; grandchildren, Nathan, Nick, Alexandra, Matthew, Brandon, Brittany, Dylan, Blake, Jade, Evan and Morgan; and two great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Ryan.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy can take the form of contributions to the Southeast Christian Church Country Lake Christian Retreat, Henryville, IN.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
