Ruth Elizabeth Williams Turner, 80; Clarksville

> SOUTHERN INDIANA — Funeral services for Ruth Elizabeth Williams Turner, 80, Clarksville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died  Wednesday, April 30, 2014.

She was an active member of the YMCA, Jeffersonville, as well as the First Southern Baptist Church, Clarksville. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that will be dearly missed. She was born May 26, 1933 in Barren County, Ky. to the late Benjamin Sr. and Emma Bowles Turner.

She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Miller and her husband, Ken, and Monya Turner-Schindler and her husband, Ken; brother, Ben Williams Jr.; grandchildren, Monya Ringler and her husband, Mike, Patrick Alexander and his wife, Farrah, Amber Miller, Jessica Puryear  and her husband, Tim, and Kevin Vittitow; and great-grandchildren, Aurora and Alan Ringler, Daniel Alexander, and Raelee Vittitow.  

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of over 59 years, Kenneth R. Turner; and son, Delmar “Del” Turner.  

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the YMCA, 4812 Hamburg Pike, Jeffersonville, IN  47130.
