Louis J. Badalaty, 82; Jeffersonville

— Funeral services for Louis J. Badalaty, 82, Jeffersonville, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 2, at E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with private burial at a later date. He died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Wedgewood Healthcare Center, Clarksville.

He served in the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 35, AARP, N.A.R.F.E. Chapter 1756. He was a production controller at the U.S. Naval Ordinance Station in Louisville, and was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Badalaty; sons, Michael Badalaty, Charlestown, and John Badalaty, Clarksville; daughters, Pamela Badalaty, Jeffersonville, and Brigitte Miley and her husband, Kevin. Jeffersonville; grandchildren, Amanda Stillwell and her husband, Mike, Troy Badalaty and his wife, Noemi, Nathen Badalaty, Megan Badalaty, Brittany Gilmore and her husband, Matt, Louis Jagger Yunker, and Brynna Miley; step-grandchildren, Brittney Colvin and her husband, Michael, Brandi Miley, and Bronte Miley; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Badalaty, and mother, Frances Badalaty.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and after 10 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
