William Fiske ‘Wild Bill’ Richardson, 63; of Greenville

— Funeral services for William Fiske “Wild Bill” Richardson, 63, of Greenville, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes in New Albany, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville. He died Friday, March 15, 2013, at his home.

He was a 1978 graduate of Indiana University Southeast with a master’s degree in education. He was a retired geography and anthropology teacher from Corydon Central High School, where he coached volleyball and baseball. He was a member of Greenville Christian Church. Wild Bill loved IU basketball and the Atlanta Braves.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Witt; a son, Kelty Richardson, of Louisville; a daughter, Erica Brown and her husband, Austin, of Indianapolis; a step-son, Steven Clubb, of New Albany; a brother, Andy Richardson, of Clarksville; sisters, Eloise Parker and her husband, Dan, of Jeffersonville, and Clare Biedenharn and her husband, Jimmy, of New Orleans, La.; and his mother, Dorothy (Bickel) Richardson. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leanna Marie Richardson and his father, Robert Franklin Richardson.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from noon to 8 p.m. on Monday, noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Southern Indiana or the American Cancer Society.
