Amanda Toupin, 87; Jeffersonville

— A funeral Mass for Amanda Marie Toupin, 87, Jeffersonville, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Jeffersonville, with burial  in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. She died Monday, March 17, 2014, in Auburn.

She was born July 4, 1926 in Vimy, Alberta, Canada to the late Joseph and Aurore Dusseault. She was a retired registered nurse and a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She is survived by her six children, Michelle Toupin, Madeline Ferraro, Mark Toupin, David Toupin, Richard Toupin, and Leo Toupin Jr.; three siblings, Jack Dusseault, Francis Krauskopf and Germaine Fortier; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo R. Toupin, who passed away in 1988.

She was a Christian who demonstrated love for her Savior and compassion to others throughout her life. She now resides in the glory of God’s heavenly kingdom.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday,  at Scott Funeral Homes North Chapel, Jeffersonville, and from 9 to10 a.m. Saturday, at the church.
