Rev. Grafton D. Estes Sr.

91; Clarksville

— Funeral services for Rev. Grafton D. Estes Sr., 91, Clarksville, will be at 1 p.m. Monday March 24, at E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. He died, going to be with his heavenly Father, Friday, March 21, 2014, at Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was a founder and Pastor of Free Gospel Church, Underwood, and was founder and operator of G.D. Estes Company in Clarksville. He was a veteran in the Army during World War II, and was a native of Logan County, Ky.

He is survived by his sons, Larry (Jeanie Alexander) Estes, Jeffersonville, Norman (Susan Wilson) Estes, Jeffersonville, Ralph (Deborah Weber) Estes, Sellersburg, Clyde (Tanya Plante) Estes, Charlestown, and Dale (Melissa Brown) Estes, Clarksville; daughter, Phyllis Estes, Jeffersonville; grandchildren, Lori Estes Hasler, Wally Estes, Cheryl Reardon Vaughn, Jeffrey Reardon, Tony Reardon, Angel Huff, Amy Brown, Michael Estes, and Michelle Estes White; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Leoma Harris, Jeffersonville.

He was preceded in death by wife, Ola I. Estes, son, Darrell Eugene Estes, father, Thomas G. Estes, and mother, Opal Estes.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
