Thomas Ray Wiles

87; Floyds Knobs

— A private funeral Mass for Thomas Ray Wiles, 87, Floyds Knobs, will be at St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. He died Friday, Aug. 23, 2013.

 He retired from American Electric Power Co. after 45 years of service as an accountant. Tom was a U.S. Navy Air Corp veteran serving his country during WWII. He was a member of St. Mary’s Navilleton Catholic Church and a past member of the Elks Lodge in Madison, and the Knights of Columbus in Wheeling, W.V. 

Tom was born on Feb. 17, 1926, in Wheeling, W.V., to the late Charles M. and Anna M. (Waldvogel) Wiles.

  He is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Eileen T. Wiles; children, Thomas S. Wiles (Ann), Colleen M. May (Dennis), Judith L. Carroll (Doug), Jeffrey B. Wiles and Charles “Chuck” M. Wiles (Nancy); sister, Mary E. Mueller; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Karl, David and Fred Wiles; sister, Esther Adams; daughter-in-law and bridge partner, Donna Wiles.
