73; Memphis

— Funeral services for Kay J. Wessel, 73, Memphis. will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg. He died  Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at his home.

 He was a retired Supervisor at I.C.I Americas, a member of Speed Memorial Church, an avid bowler, fisherman, and wood worker. After retiring from I.C.I he opened a refinishing business.

Surviving include his wife, Ellen Doughty Wessel; son, Nathan Wessel and his wife, Dana, Memphis; Aunt, Julia Doughty, Noblesville; and many cousins.

 He was preceded in death by a son, Drew Wessel, brother, Charles “Tony” Wessel and beloved dog, Tweed

The family greatly appreciates and acknowledges their special neighbors,  Harlan and Karen Yeager.

Visitation will be  from 4 p.m. until the time of service, Thursday, at the funeral home.

  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Amedisys Hospice, 305 Quartermaster Court, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
