A funeral service for Catherine Lea Cooley, 45, New Albany, will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, New Albany, with burial in SCI-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Saturday, Sept. 7, at her residence.
She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, New Albany, where she volunteered her time working in the food pantry. She was a graduate of the New Albany-Floyd County school system and also worked part-time at Rauch Industries.
Survivors include her mother, Martha S. (Neely) Cooley, New Albany; a brother, Rick Cooley, New Albany; a sister, Vikki Adkins and her husband, Kirk, Pine Hurst, N.C.; nephews and nieces, York, Tate and Elena Adkins; aunts and uncles, Peggy Moses, Jackie Neely and Harry Neely Jr. and his wife, Gerry, all Floyd County; and special friend, David Newman, New Albany.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard B. Cooley; grandparents, Harry and Beth Neely and Frank and Ruby Cooley; and an uncle, John Neely.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
