Mary Lou Henderson

83; Clarksville

Funeral services for Mary Lou Henderson, 83, Clarksville, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Barnes Cemetery. She peacefully entered into rest on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Clark Memorial Hospital.

Mary was born on June 29, 1930, in Scottsburg, the daughter of Sylvester and Nellie Mae Pierce Harris. She was an avid volunteer working at the The Palace in Louisville, Derby Dinner Playhouse, Meals on Wheels, Louisville Zoo and Clark Memorial Hospital. She also enjoyed sewing and working word searches.

Survivors include her daughter, Vickie Rison (Barry Sr.), Clarksville; sister, Madelyn Hardin, Illinois; grandchildren, Chris, Stacy, Barry Jr. and Amanda; great-grandson, Brody; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edmond Carson Henderson; son, Jack Rider; sisters, Lorriane Kraus and Rose Mullins; brother, Lowell Harris; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Rider.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
